چکیده
ABSTRACT In this study, we investigated the orientation model of Broad Absorption Line (BAL) quasars using a sample sources that are common in Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) Data Release (DR)-16 quasar catalogue and Very Large Array (VLA)-Faint Images Radio at Twenty Centimeters (FIRST) survey. Using radio cut-out images from FIRST survey, first designed deep-learning convolutional neural networks (CNN) to classify morphologies into core-only, young jet, single lobe, or triples. These further sub-classified core-dominated lobe-dominated sources. The CNN models can with high precision >98 ${{\ \rm per\ cent}}$ for all morphological sub-classes. average BAL fraction resolved core, core-dominated, consistent inferred infrared surveys. We also present distribution as function by core-dominance an indicator. A similar analysis is performed HiBALs, LoBALs, FeLoBALs. All sub-classes show increase angles jets respect line sight. Our suggests more likely be found viewing close equatorial plane quasar. However, pure inadequate, combination evolution probably best way explain complete phenomena.

The Frequency and Radio Properties of Broad Absorption Line Quasars
A sample of 67 Broad Absorption Line quasars (BALQSOs) from the Large Bright Quasar Survey (LBQS) is used to estimate the observed and intrinsic fraction of BAL quasars in optically– selected samples at intermediate (BJ ≃ 18.5) magnitudes. The observed BALQSO fraction in the redshift range 1.5 ≤ z ≤ 3.0 is 15± 3%. A well–determined, empirical, k–correction, to allow for the differences in the s...
متن کاملThe Compact Structure of Radio-Loud Broad Absorption Line Quasars
We present the results of EVN+MERLIN VLBI polarization observations of 8 Broad Absorption Line (BAL) quasars at 1.6 GHz, including 4 LoBALs and 4 HiBALs with either steep or flat spectra on VLA scales. Only one steep-spectrum source, J1122+3124, shows two-sided structure on the scale of 2 kpc. The other four steep-spectrum sources and three flat-spectrum sources display either an unresolved ima...

متن کاملDiscovery of Radio-loud Broad Absorption Line Quasars Using Ultraviolet Excess and Deep Radio Selection
We report the discovery of five broad-absorption-line (BAL) QSOs in a complete sample of 111 ultraviolet excess (UVX) QSO candidates also detected in the NRAO VLA Sky Survey. All five BAL QSOs, which include two high-ionization BAL QSOs and three low-ionization BAL QSOs, are formally radio-loud. Of QSOs with z > 0.4, 3±2% show low-ionization BALs, and of QSOs with z > 1.5, all radio-loud, 9±5% ...
متن کاملDo Broad Absorption Line Quasars Live in Different Environments from Ordinary Quasars?
We select a sample of ∼ 4200 traditionally defined broad absorption line quasars (BALQs) from the Fifth Data Release quasar catalog of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. For a statistically homogeneous quasar sample with 1.7 ≤ z ≤ 4.2, the BAL quasar fraction is ∼ 14% and is almost constant with redshift. We measure the auto-correlation of non-BAL quasars (nonBALQs) and the cross-correlation of BALQ...
